Our first day of shooting was January 20th at the Baltimore House. We picked it because it is a great venue with a great aesthetic and vibe and just an all around cool space. Finding places to shoot was probably the most difficult thing we encountered in making the video because we needed places with enough space to fit the band and the crew and also give us a cool back drop to shoot against. Grant and Jimmy from the Batimore were super helpful in setting us up with a day they were closed so we were able to shoot uninterupted by patrons of the bar. Our pal Kevin is also a bartender there so we were able to get him to make an appearance in the video as well. We came up with an outline of a schedule for the night and a plan of all the shots we needed to get and then just systematically worked down the list, and even finished the shoot ahead of schedule.

Our second day of shooting was January 24th at Porcelain Records, a rad Hamilton recording studio with a great warm & vintage vibe set up in an old dance hall. The huge studio space features all wood flooring, exposed beams and high ceilings giving it a very cool look that suited the band and the video. We had the band set up in a circle basically in the centre of the studio and then just worked down the list of shots we needed making sure to have continuity between the earlier shots, clothing and set up of the first shoot at the Baltimore. Marcone & Steve from Porcelain were really helpful in finding the time to get us in the studio to shoot, and the space was very well laid out so it made for an easy set up and take down. After the performance shots were finished we filmed us coming inside the studio, turning on and setting up our gear as well as some exterior shots of the building, and again finished ahead of schedule.

Our final shots were finished up on a few select strees around downtown Hamilton to provide some extra footage for the transition between the two locations.

Were very happy to be able to preview of the new music to come. The music video and song will both be released in April. In the mean time we have lots of exciting things going on, we are working to start recording the rest of the tracks for our new album. We also have a little project coming together with our pals in Beard. Stay tuned for more details.

And well see you at our 2 upcoming back to back shows:
March 12th at the Batimore House in Hamilton
March 13 at Clintons in Toronto

peace
